The pear is picked and placed in boxes then stacked on trailers then taken to the packing shed buy tractors. In the packing shed they are sorted for a day or to then washed and sorted into their required grades and packed for market and on sight sales. To eat the pear you first wash it under some running water with a kitchen glove on to remove any prickles that are left then with a sharp knife remove the bottom and the top of the pear and slice thru the remaining skin from top to bottom and peel the whole skin back. Discard the skin and eat the inner fruit.
CHERRYS: the cherry season runs from the start of November to the middle of December. The orchard consists of 8 variety’s. The cherry’s are picked and placed into boxes with the picker’s allocated number they are then stacked in the shad along the rows and routinely collected from the paddock in the gator and taken to the packing shed.
